OUR FLEET
In Indonesia, tugboats and barges are widely used in various sizes depending on the port and routes. With benefits of low operating costs, easier handling operations and the ability to sail to remote inland areas with low draft, tugboat and barge are accessible, with the size of 300ft as the norm for transshipment.
KAI is beginning with a humble deployment of four modern and cost efficient marine crafts, consisting of tugboats and barges, with an average age less than 12 months. Our vessels are medium to long-term chartered with vessel sizes of 2 x 1000HP tugboats and 310ft barges for efficiency purposes in terms of capacity and operational costs, to reach the export markets and inter-island transshipment.
Our goal is to continue to maximize existing shipping business scope that shares the same vision with the company and to grow our fleet size.
